Janene completed her training and worked as a physiotherapist in New Zealand. She then travelled to England where she worked in a variety of NHS and private sector positions, climbing the ranks to hospital manager. During her progression, she completed an MBA at Henley Management College.
Janene joined HCA Healthcare UK in 2006 as Chief Operating Officer at The Wellington Hospital and was promoted to Chief Executive Officer of The Portland Hospital in June 2009.
She is passionate about delivering service excellence and exceptional care, not just for the patient but also for the patient's family.
Janene is also mother to three children therefore she fully understands the importance of high quality maternity, gynaecology and paediatric care, provided within a supportive environment for the whole family. Her second son and her daughter were born at The Portland Hospital.
She took over from Andrew Gore as the CEO of London Bridge Hospital in December 2016
Chief Operations Officer
Miranda joined LBH in November 2015 having spent a year working for HCA’s Joint Ventures division, leading the development of HCA’s new Hospital on the Guy’s Campus. Prior to this Miranda spent 5 years at HCA’s The Wellington Hospital as the General Manager of Theatres. Miranda is a Chartered Physiotherapist by profession having worked at Spire Bushey Hospital for 10 years, managing the Physiotherapy department there for 4 year prior to joining HCA. Miranda has an MSc in Sports Medicine and has completed an executive MBA since working for HCA.
Miranda is passionate about ensuring the operational infrastructure and procedures across London Bridge Hospital, support the patient journey and delivery of excellence in clinical care. She oversees the Outpatient and diagnostic facilities at London Bridge Hospital, HCA at The Shard, the 4 city satellite facilities and Sevenoaks Medical Centre.
Chief Nursing Officer
Kerry promotes best practice and a culture of clinical excellence. With an illustrious career in private and NHS healthcare, she brings exceptional management and medical experience that underpins our high standards and exceptional outcomes.
Dr. Ahmed is a renowned nephrologist with decades of clinical experience. He plays a unique role – overseeing our trademark multidisciplinary approach by ensuring clinical disciplines collaborate to deliver the highest standard of care.
Medical Clinical Governance Lead
Dr Harrison is a well-respected and prolific author and lecturer, and who is a globally renowned physician with a worldwide patient base. He is immediate past General Secretary of the British Association for the Study of the Liver (BASL) and is Chair of the NICE cirrhosis guideline development group. He has also acted as clinical advisor for NICE on drugs for viral hepatitis. He is a national opinion leader in liver disease and has appeared on the Tonight Programme on ITV, Channel 5 News and NBC Television, and contributed to national newspaper articles and The Big Issue highlighting liver diseases.
His practice offers a full range of liver services from abnormal liver functions through to viral hepatitis, Hepatitis B and C and hepatocellular carcinoma. He is a leading exponent of interventional endoscopy, particularly ERCP. He works as a member of a multidisciplinary team of liver surgeons, radiologists and oncologists bringing state-of-the-art liver medicine, surgery and liver transplantation to patients in an independent hospital setting. The London Liver Centre attracts patients from UK, Europe, Middle East and Asia.
Chief Financial Officer
Stephen joined The London Bridge Hospital in 2015, following roles as CFO at The Princess Grace Hospital, CFO at The Lister Hospital and as Finance Manager at HCA Corporate Offices. As well as his role at The London Bridge Hospital, Stephen is CFO at The Lister Hospital, another of HCA’s world-leading private hospitals. As CFO Stephen has responsibility for ensuring Finance, Patient Accounts and Procurement functions support the delivery of world class private healthcare.
Chief Human Resources Officer
Amanda joined London Bridge Hospital in June 2016 as Chief HR Officer. Her previous experience includes 6 years at the National Blood Service as Head of HR, 15 years as Head of HR at Thomson Reuters in their Science, Healthcare and Financial Services divisions, and most recently 18 months at Marks & Spencer as their UK ER Manager.
As Chief HR Officer at London Bridge she is accountable for the overall operational HR service delivery, implementing group HR strategy and partnering with the Senior Management Team and Heads of Department to provide excellence in end-to-end HR services. As well as her role at London Bridge, Amanda is also Chief HR Officer at The Lister Hospital, another of HCA's world leading private hospitals.
